This young adult novel
is about Luca and Honey's life which their environment controls. They have
lived next to each other since age six, their families are friends, they own a
business together, and Luca and Honey are beautiful in high school.
Are they soulmates? Family and friends believe so. However, Honey has doubts and instigates an experiment where each will go on five dates with others.
The twist and turns when they go on these dates are the tailspins that bring about an explosive ending. Then, finally, reality sets in, and these two teenagers learn what it is to be in love.
The characters are simple, and the background sets up the series. The writing flows nicely and is enjoyable.
